Course Designer: Hugh Lochore
Hugh was born into an Eventing family and raised in Scotland. He competed through the three-star level in Europe before turning his attention first to course building and then to course design. Hugh joined the FEI list of designers as a ‘C’ in 1996 and achieved ‘I’ status in 1998. He has designed courses throughout Europe, including Pony Europeans at Necarne Castle, the 3* at Punchestown, Houghton Hall, and his family event at Burgie. Hugh moved to the United States in 2006 and now runs Chattahoochee Hills Eventing where he designed the AECs track in 2012. He continues to design courses at Chattahoochee Hills, Southern Pines, Carolina International, Red Hills, and others.
Secretaries: Taren Hoffos and Lynne Woodhouse Arnold
Taren’s secretarial role includes managing the omnibus listing for the Copper Meadows events and inputting the entry information before the events. She handles all questions from competitors leading up to, and through, the events, as well as dealing with the stabling and schedule of the event.
During the event, Taren hands off her duties to Lynne, who arrives in the show office to be the face of Copper Meadows. She manages the office throughout the event, keeping it running smoothly through all three days.
Copper Buck Coordinator: Margie Davis
Margie has been with Copper Meadows for 10 years, working as the organizer of Copper Buck workers. Copper Meadows pays volunteers in Copper Bucks – cash that can be redeemed at Copper Meadows in the form of show entries, grounds fees, or merchandise. Margie’s job begins well before the event, as she contacts her extensive list of helpers to create a schedule for the event that covers everything from hospitality to jump judges.
